Behavior Services
(Under 1hr from Lewis County NY)
About Behavior Services
"Behavior" Services involve behavior modification. Behavior modification is a psychotherapeutic intervention primarily used to rehabilitate maladaptive behavior problems and focuses on changing an existing, often unwanted, behavior or emotional response. Most people call this "training," but it is not. A professional's ability to modify your pet's behavior requires a great deal more education and experience.
Common examples of behaviors I help owners to modify include, but are not limited to:
-
Aggression or reactivity toward family members or strangers
-
Anxiety, fear, stress, pica, stereotypical behaviors
-
House soiling, not using the litter box, spraying
-
Destructive scratching, "stealing," chewing
-
Jumping on guests, nipping
These sessions are involved and intensive as we must review your pet's history, diet, exercise, previous training and much more.

For vets to review, such as in cases where medication is recommended
-
If your trainer would like an outline to follow
-
If you learn better by reading
-
If your rescue needs one to share with the board or volunteers
-
Must be requested with one week of session
